Fantastic Butterscotch Cookies

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening (Crisco)
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp salt
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
6oz package of butterscotch chips

cream the butter plus shortening with white & brown sugar.
Blend in 2 large, beaten eggs
Sift the flour, baking soda and salt together.
Add to cream mixture and beat well
Stir in oatmeal, chopped nuts and package butterscotch chips.
Tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheet
Bake 9-12 min at 350F
