Vanilla Frosting

3 c. powdered sugar, sifted
1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 Tbsp. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

In a bowl with an electric mixer, cream powdered sugar and butter. Stir in milk and vanilla and beat until smooth and the right consistency for spreading.

Makes enough for an 8-9 inch pan.
